Hah! Never even bothered going there, was just telling my wife I was surprised they were still open as we drove by the other day.
Wonder what will go in there next?
Guessing Holly Center or Dove Point will buy it and take it off the tax rolls.

I never ate there because the fat blogger always posted pictures of their crayon written daily menu's. It was obvious that the daily menu's were sent to fat boy by phone text. I know the fat one didn't ride over there every day just to take a picture.
The owners of Andy's place are some desperate slobs if they think the fat bloggers site was going to keep them in business. Who are their readers other than Jim Ireton, Tom Stevenson, Rick Hoppes, Bill Gordy, Pat Davis, Chuck Cook, Bill Holland, Henry Eure, and the rest of the City's department heads.
They read Joes blog also, but they are trolling.
JT was the only moron who ever went back and that is because they let blubber boy eat from the dirty plates.
The place was a dump anyway. We went there once and the food sucked. The beer was warm too.

I walked in the vestibule one day for lunch and saw that I had to let go of serious dollars if I wanted lunch. Backed out and ate at Paul's for $5.29, and got CRAB PIZZA! It was awesome, but only on Fridays...
So many people didnt go there because of thbeir association with JT.....the owners were idiots 2 team up with him.

The food was not good - they always had to put some kind of "twist" on things. Because of that they even ruined chicken wings. That said, Dayton's is nothing more than reheated Sysco, and RT 12 is in edible. Is there any decent food in Salisbury?
I had two meals from that place. The pizza I had from their tasted like it was frozen and came from wal-mart. The cheeseburger was burnt to a crisp and fell to pieces.

Taylors, Pauls and Old West none and i mean none of them are any better...nasty Sysco frozen prepared foods. Daytons and Sage tops the list of choke and puke restaurants!!!!! If you want a meal for a resonable amount and a BIG platter go to the Deli @ Pecan Square. Just no beer.
For the record, the statement "Serving minors out of desperation," is libelous and just wrong. You can say what you want about the business. It failed, and that's that. The fact is, the server who gave beer to the undercover girl was fired immediately. Andy lost money paying the fine and court fees. He corrected the error, and he was never desperate to serve anyone. Lying about someone online to get a rise out of bloggers is deplorable. Far be it from me to criticize this wonderful piece of journalism, that may one day win a Pulitzer, but facts are facts. This blog is wrong and damaging. Just saying.
I'm so glad...never ate there. Their choice of fonts for their sign annoy me every time I drove by.
A month ago, another business professional & I ate there and still feel ill... a bit of exaggeration.
Anyway... there were only 2 occupied tables at lunch time. I knew something was wrong but... continued with our nightmare!!!
We had some dippy, rude, minority woman wait on us. She brought us our drinks and then we had to flag her down twenty minutes later to put in our order. Cheeseburger sub was outdated meat.. took two bites and quit. Did without so the cook would not spit on my food or get worse food. Then had to flag her down again to get out check... then there were only 4 tables occupied during lunch time.
That waitress was the Worst in Salisbury... she should stay home and collect her Independence Card. Should be called Dependence Card...
Eat at COOK-OUT !!! Say good-bye to Arbys and Wendys.

i had cook out the other day it Sucked.
Cook Out is geared towards a low cost meal (hence why it is by the college), if you want flavor goto 213 (and even that is hit or miss), but guess what the price difference will be.
Best meals I have had in Salisbury are cooked by my family and friends.
I will say that I have had some wonderful meals at Sobo's and Public House (grilled cheese sandwich and pretzels with evo prelude black to wash it down)
I am honestly surprised that Salisbury can support all these restaurants with the drop in jobs.
Andy's was hosting some event every Friday night for bikers to try and bring business in.
A fairly new bike club was making moving into the area and was making the Andy's Friday night event sort of a home base.
Apparently this pissed off another bike club that is known for not playing nice. They showed up and started to chase off the new club. As a result the Friday bike events were canceled to prevent any future violent encounters.

Andy & JT, LMAO! One swing from JT and he'd have an instant heart attack. That vein would be popping out of his forehead and explode.
As for Andy, I told you how I felt about your place the first and only time we came in there. The food sucked, the beer was luke warm and like everyone has already said here, you kept bashing other establishments and even saying you were going to put them out of business.
I commend you for giving it a try and like MANY of the want to be singers who audition on American Idol, they really think they can sing, NOT.
As for JT, he's sending multiple e-mail messages to our advertisers threatening them if they keep advertising with us.
He seems to FORGET, I do not do this for the money. IF he wants to scare people into no longer advertising with us, well, what's he doing. He's hurting ALL of the people/organizations we make donations to, THAT'S ALL.
So remember that Folks. The guy is a scumbag. Remember, this is the guy who called WalMart when I was ringing the bell for the Salvation Army raising money for the needy and they told WalMart I called an inter racial couple a N-Word loving whore and then LAUGHED about their LIE after the SA asked me to stop ringing there.
The man sucks off YOU the taxpayer making up lies and attacking ANYONE who disagrees with his LIBERAL agenda.
Ask him what HE does for the community. Ask him how many THOUSANDS of dollars he has donated. Oh, that's right, he hasn't.

Don't buy any gift cards from them if they are selling them. I made the mistake of buying some from the Fox and Olive and they went out of business quicker than it took them to open. Big Mistake!!
If you buy a gift card you are better off buying a Visa gift card.
I had no idea last night that Andy's Place was closing. My wife and I were riding around last night looking for a new place to eat and low and behold we pulled into the parking lot of Andy's Place. We pulled in and turned right around. The first things staring right at us before we pulled in the parking lot was a big Spyros Sarbanes sign and a little Josh Hastings yard sign right out on their property. I refuse to eat anywhere that has a Sarbanes and Hastings sign. By the way I thought Josh Hastings is telling everyone that he is not really a Democrat? Ironically his signs are always next to a Democrats sign. I wonder if Sarbanes and Hastings even got permission to put their signs up on that property?? They seem to be located in places that are public easements just like Sarbanes' signs so I have a feeling they didn't get permission. Permission or not they were up at Andy's Place and he lost business because of it. Anyway Mr. Andy's Place see what happens when you support Democrats? You lost your entire business because you support a Democrat.
Restaurant owners beware I and many others refuse to eat an establishment that caters to any Democrat. To you Conway lovers Sorry For Your Luck!! I don't buy that crap "well he's a nice guy." He is not a nice guy. And for you Republicans not only did you lose my business, you lost my friendship. You idiots are the reason we are in the bad shape that we are in.

I believe home cooked food you mention is prepared by using Sysco products. It may not be Heat and Serve, but that Sysco truck spends a lot of time there.
I was telling my wife last night that the biggest problem with restaurants around here is they never remodel. They have the same exact décor from day one and it does look dirty and nasty. I said they should shut down for 2 weeks to totally remodel and have a great Grand Re-Opening. I have been around here most of my life and saw many restaurants close down even after years of success because a new competitor came to town and put them out of business. People around here like new things.

I'd like to address those comments about "Cook Out" restaurant.
I have not been there yet but I have been told the prices are extremely reasonable and the food is supposed to be really good.
In time I'll find the time to visit and give them a try. However, I'm very surprised with the comments saying some of you didn't like it.
As for Andy's Place and their connection with JT, just because someone is obese doesn't mean they know quality food. That's all I have to say about that.

Try The Irish Penny for some good comfort food. $5 burger night on Mondays. Irish music on Tuesdays. Two-for-one fish&chips on Wednesdays (choice of haddock or rockfish - get the rockfish). My favorite is the portabella mushroom salad or sandwich.
And, of course, GUINNESS on tap.
And always cute waitresses in kilts!
Does anyone know who owns the property that Andy's Place is on? I wonder if Andy or the property owner gave Spyros permission to put that 8 foot sign in the parking lot?

I personally have an issue with a place that's willing to call themselves "The Irish Penny" yet their corned beef hash is that mushy crap straight out of a can.
I have not been impressed one bit by them.
The atmosphere wasn't great, but I always enjoyed their food. I hate to see another business fail in Salisbury.
Try Tall Tales Brewery, they have the BEST pizza made from scratch, no canned or jar ingredience all fresh everythings cooked in the brick oven and they have specials daily, we eat there once a week.

Daytons is horrible. The service sucks. The servers argue right in front of you. Tables are always dirty. Unless you like eating at a dump, screw daytons
