Shooting Incident Pocomoke Forest
On
January 30, 2015, deputies were dispatched to PRMC and to the area of
Five Bridges Road and Whitesburg Road for a reported shooting. Deputies
interviewed the victim at the hospital who provided a detailed
description of the incident. During the incident, the victim was shot
twice after stopping to assist a motorist after striking a deer.

Detectives
from CBI responded and are working to piece together circumstances that
led to the shooting of a 21-year-old Eden man along the side of
Whitesburg and Five Bridges roads in the Pocomoke Forest at about 11
p.m. Friday.
Deputies arrested and charged Kenny George White of
Fruitland, who was 17 and a minor when he allegedly collided with the
deer, then twice shot the man who police described as a good Samaritan
that stopped at the scene of the collision.
White
has been charged as an adult by law because the alleged crime involved
the commission of a felony involving a firearm, A crime of another
nature could have exempted White from adult-status charges because he
was an hour from his 18th birthday.
The 21-year-old victim was
treated at Peninsula Regional Medical Center for injuries to his lower
body that was sprayed with bird-shot, or pellets.
The victim,
whose identity has not been released, was the passenger in a vehicle
that stumbled upon the accident involving White and the deer, the
detective said.
The victim approached White and an argument relating to the deer ensued,
The
victim was shot as he faced the suspect, then from behind as he ran
back to the vehicle in which he was riding, police said. The victim and
two companions in the vehicle followed the suspect to obtain a tag
number. He was then driven to his residence where he called an ambulance
that transported him to the hospital.
The hospital notified
Wicomico County authorities, and the case was turned over to Worcester
investigators because of the jurisdiction in which the shooting
happened.
Fruitland police assisted Worcester investigators in
locating White at his residence and conducting a search that led to the
finding of a shotgun police believe was used in the shooting.

Agreed... sounds like the police screwed up another one arresting the wrong person. The truth will come out.
The "good Samaritan" is probably a cops son trying to rob the accident victim or something...
I agree with 8:11 as well but when all is said and done Mr. 17/18 will probably get 25 and have to serve 5!

I bet there was some beer involved. That this is not the whole story. Your on a Dark rd an there two of them and one of you , some stupid argument over a deer that wrecked you car. He shot him just a little with bird shot. Now this is going to cost them all especially the shooter a lot of time an money, stress for parents and maybe jail. The the guy who got shot and his companion will spend many days going to court. Just hope they tell the true story. Don't ruin a persons life, just cause you can.
Sounds to me like they all made mistakes. In the late 60's an 70's pay the medical an get 2 years probation. Today we send them to jail for a long long time.
Or maybe the deer was injured and suffering, the guy got out cause 17 was drunk and stumbling, probably yelling over 17 not doing anything, both of them dickhead/drunk but only one of them had a gun......but I mean it makes sense to some how turn this into a "good ole boys" story also. (Rolling eyes) come on.
Perhaps you all should just stop speculating based off of you presumptions and do some research instead of aimlessly pointing fingers at the suspect and/or the victim without facts. Everybody does something for a reason(however twisted that reason be). I pulled the court records on this Kenny (Kenneth) George White. As it turns out, the suspect was cited for "Failure to control speed on highway to avoid a collision" on November 11, 2014. His license was suspended on December 29, 2014 for "Failure to comply" and has not been reinstated.
Given those facts, I imagine that the victim stopped to help out and likely offered or recommended calling the police. Perhaps knowing that his license was suspended, that is something that Kenny did not take a liking to and so ensued the shooting.
Now alcohol could have been involved, but that would be pure speculation without facts to back the claim.
Nonetheless, the police got their man and another young and dumb punk is off the streets
