Sheriff Clarke: Holder Conducting 'Witch Hunt' on Ferguson Police

The African-American sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin says U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is conducting a "witch hunt" in Ferguson, Missouri to save face in the Michael Brown case.

Holder on Wednesday announced that there is no evidence that white Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson did anything illegal when he fatally shot unarmed black teenager Michael Brown, whom Wilson said was charging him. But Holder said a separate civil rights investigation into the Ferguson Police Department found systemic racism and that blacks were targeted in an effort to collect money through fines.

Sheriff David Clarke, appearing Wednesday on Fox News Channel's "Your World with Neil Cavuto," said Holder's statement was part of a pattern of "inflammatory rhetoric" he has made before. Holder has had Ferguson in his crosshairs ever since the shooting occurred, he said.

"He did not have an open mind. He had a pre-determined mindset going into this investigation," Clarke told Cavuto. "I think that Eric Holder has an animosity, a genuine hostility toward local law enforcement, specifically white police officers."

Clarke said Holder thinks every white police officer is a "stone-cold racist."
