James Anthenelli Passed Away This Morning At 64

Talk about an incredible human being. Jim Anthenelli was by far the greatest attorney the Eastern Shore has ever had. All I'll say is, he fully supported the First Amendment and our thoughts and prayers go out to his Family, close friends and business associates. Jim had struggled with cancer for several years and put up an incredible fight.

We'll see you at the 19th Hole Jim.

What an outstanding attorney!! Most attorneys could only dream of being on the same level. Every judges knew that if you had Anthenelli you had the best money could buy. I wish you were still here brother. I have another case to would love to handle. But just stand by and watch down from above.

I watched him go onto court and tell the judge , jury and prosecutor what was about to happen. And it did. Amazing man. Criminals are going to have a hard time finding a good lawyer anymore.

A very big loss for this community. Jim was as sharp as they come as a lawyer and kind as they come as a friend. He really did fight the good fight up to the end, now go rest my friend.

I knew Jim when he worked in the court house. It didn't take long for him to make a name for himself. He was a talented and funny person to know. So sorry for his family.

What a great attorney. He worked very hard to get the results that he wanted for his client. He was very knowledgeable about the law and would do all that he could when he entered into the court room. He will be missed.

The best and finest attorney Salisbury will ever see. I don't believe there will ever be another one like him. If you wanted "the best," you called him. For someone of his stature and reputation, he was amazingly down to earth, kind and thoughtful to everyone. He made me and my family feel comfortable in every situation. In the courtroom , he was pure genius.
Long after he helped a family member through a difficult time, I was experiencing a problem that did not even fall within his practice area. I called him because I had that much respect for him. I felt that he was probably one of the wisest and most intelligent minds I had ever met. I knew he would know what to do. He spent over 45 minutes on the phone with me - easing my mind, boosting my spirits, and giving me his personal opinions and advice as to what he thought I should do to resolve the problem I had. He did not have to do that. This was not a case he could have taken but that was just a testament to the man he was and his character. He cared about helping others. He will be sadly missed and my heart goes out to his family and close friends.
